Students' success and enjoyment are acheived by the teachers & the students..

•  providing information/education programs for parents and carers
•  involving parents in the classroom program
•  accurately assessing each student's learning
•  using a range of teaching and grouping strategies
•  acknowledging the ongoing role of the parents as the child's first and ongoing teacher
•  providing a supportive and engaging environment
•  providing additional assistance to particular students

In Reading , Writing and Speaking and Listening as in Mathematics, students work in class groups, small groups and individually. Students work in each of these groupings in the two hour Early Years Literacy and the one hour Early Years Numeracy block. Through the analysis of running records taken when the child reads aloud the teacher carefully matches the child to the appropriate reading level text. Take home books are also matched to student needs.
